'The Roll's Royce of Projectors'
When we were on the Tokyo trip for the video, we were brought to this amazing vintage camera shop hidden down a back alley where Pontus shelled out a few sheckles for a Canon Super 8 camera, the 1014xl-s to be exact. The camera was even serviced by the guy who had patented it- so pleased was Mr. Alv with his purchase that he dubbed it "The Rolls Royce of Super 8 Cameras".
Anyway, I'm now on my third projector for this video, but I had to trade the one I used for the Scrum Tilly', but upon using this (Bauer T 82) projector I can safely say the trade (and mark up) was well worth it. The image is crispy/dirty, the projection speed control is an easily adjustable sliding dial (as a opposed to the traditional nob, makes a huge difference in eliminating flicker, ye nob) and it even has a fast rewind feature to eliminate all that 'down time' getting the film back on the feeder reel. Its solid as a rock, I'm very stoked on the results and, and, and, I best get back to work using it.
