The month of Tomoctober

I've been fierce busy of late with editing a documentary I shot, shooting one that's in production, as well as a few paint commissions too for good measure. Then I remembered that I've got a show coming up in the SOMA gallery in Waterford in October. "October?" I Thought "Sure that's ages away, its HB Brunch sunny and warm out, October is all cold and leafy, must not be for ages" Then I looked at a calender and thought "October..wait, what date is it on.. October 7th?, that's like tomorrow..morrow.moro..mo" (My voice faded out like a voice over flashback memory in a movie)

However, I do relish being very busy, but I also don't like getting burnt out so I did not panic- Instead I've worked out a nice method for the moment. As the first documentary I'm editing is in HD, the files are massive and take ages to render whenever they are tweaked, so while the files render I paint until I attention starts to wain on the canvas, then I edit some more, until I've to render and so forth.  This means that I've gotten loads more work done and will hopefully feel better tomorrow, just like good 'ol Grace...

(Bonus true story, while with some mates many many moons ago in an Italian hostel we were verbally accosted by a male Grace Jones look-a-like upon our late arrival to said hostel, but that's a whole 'nuder story, maybe one for tomorrow, morrow, moro...)
